So from Worcester the nearest major city would be Birmingham (home of Aston Villa and Birmingham City for the football fans amongst you).
It’s about a 40 minute train journey and to start ourselves off for a long day out…of course we must have the Full English Breakfast!
This is for you HB!
Then off down to Worcester Foregate Street to catch the train…in the rain of course, with grey skies – typical UK weather.
The train are nice and smart though with plenty of room and are almost always on time!
I hardly took any pictures in Birmingham as it’s not a very attractive city and it was raining and there’s loads of dodgy people around….honestly I don’t particularly like Birmingham.
The New Bullring is quite a fantastic building though…especially on the sunny days with blue skies, which is what? Twice a year! Ha!
The outside is covered in 15,000 spun aluminium discs.
We wondered around, did some shopping, got some bargains at Primark of course and then headed back to Worcester when the shops started to close (5.30pm for the lose).
It’s odd being a place where everything is not open to 10pm, oh well! More coming soon.
You can find all the posts on my UK trip:
i love english breakfasts!
during this fasting month, pics of food regardless makes ppl hungry!
is birmingham that dodgy?
bullring is for?
The Bullring is a shopping complex in Birmingham. Shopping complexes are so rare in that part of UK.
I really miss a full english breakfast. I used to have a huge set, which consists of,
– two cumberland sausages
– bacon
– fresh tomatoes
– baked beans
– fried bread
– fried egg
– two slices of toasts
– mushrooms and loads of it
– a cup of coffee
All this for 2.75 quid.
Train looks comfy!
I’m still not used to living somewhere that doesn’t have 24 hour supermarkets. I was thinking of getting some stuff on Sunday when I remembered that shops don’t open Sundays in Perth! Grrr!!! Stupid shopping hours! (And they don’t stay open till 10 PM either! Grrrr)
English breakfast just looks awesome. More pictures of all the traditional english food pleaase! ::drool::
Looks like the weather was kinda stormy from the picture
Mmm…the full greasy English breakfast. It’s the ultimate hangover cure, I’ve been told. 😉
I like the sauteed mushrooms, was that in the monstrous plate of breakfast you cooked last time you went back?
Ok I didn’t eat breakfast and the first thing I saw was the breakfast shot. Now I am hungry. 🙁
why you only give HB food but not the rest of us T___T i osowan…
breakfast here damn expensive. one full english plate is like 19 USD!!! RM 70!!!
suanie: Who doesn’t haha.
kevin: Haha yeah, B’ham is pretty dodgy yeah and Bullring is a shopping mall – it’s pretty small though and it’s not like those here. It’s more of an indoor shopping walk than a mall.
Mark: Yah it’s one of the things I miss the most! Merry Hill is the biggest in those parts and most similar to the malls here.
Dabido: Yah trains are nice in UK, quite expensive though. Yah at least if the shops close at 10pm it’s not too bad…but 5.30pm!
moons: Don’t worry, plenty of food pics 🙂 Every post from the UK trip will have one at least.
Huai Bin: Yes it is, very good hangover cure with a strong sweet coffee. Not sure, we tend to use whatever ingredients are good and available – sometimes we have black pudding too.
Nicholas Leong: Looking at it makes me hungry too!
pinkpau: Because he asked for English Breakfast specifically ok, I dedicate something nice for you ok /eyes
man,,with that amount to eat,one would certainly be full
kaswira: It’s quite a small one actually 😀
Aah, those pictures are nostalgic. The train tickets, the East Midlands train, Bullring, Big Wok chinese buffet and such!
Jason: Hahahah Big Wok! Yeah some decent food in B’ham mostly outside the center though.
