I Remodel My Words You Ignoranus

The premise is to take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and then supply a new definition. Following, for your enjoyment, are the best of this year’s new words. Remember, these are so new it will probably be 10 years before you can find one of them in the dictionary. Enjoy!

1. Intaxication: Euphoria at getting a tax refund, which lasts until you realize it was your money to start with.

2. Reintarnation: Coming back to life as a hillbilly.

3. Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright ideas from penetrating.

4. Foreploy: Any misrepresentation about yourself for the purpose of getting laid.

5. Cashtration (n.): The act of buying a house, which renders the subject financially impotent for an indefinite period.

6. Giraffiti: Vandalism spray-painted very, very high.

7. Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn’t get it.

8. Inoculatte: To take coffee intravenously when you are running late.

9. Hipatitis: Terminal coolness.

10. Osteopornosis: A degenerate disease. (This one got extra credit.)

11. Karmageddon: It’s like, when everybody is sending off all these really bad vibes, right? And then, like, the Earth explodes and it’s like, a serious bummer.

12. Decafalon (n.): The grueling event of getting through the day consuming only things that are good for you.

13. Glibido: All talk and no action.

14. Dopeler Effect: The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly.

15. Arachnoleptic Fit (n.): The frantic dance performed just after you’ve accidentally walked through a spider web.

16. Beelzebug (n.): Satan in the form of a mosquito, that gets into your bedroom at three in the morning and cannot be cast out.

17. Caterpallor (n.): The color you turn after finding half a worm in the fruit you’re eating.

And the pick of the pack:

18. Ignoranus: A person who’s both stupid and an asshole.

Movie Review – X-Men III: The Last Stand

X-men III

A “cure” for mutancy threatens to alter the course of history. For the first time, mutants have a choice: retain their uniqueness, though it isolates and alienates them, or give up their powers and become human. The opposing viewpoints of mutant leaders Charles Xavier, who preaches tolerance, and Magneto, who believes in the survival of the fittest, are put to the ultimate test–triggering the war to end all wars

Ah so I watched something at the cinema!

Cool eh…this movie didn’t get relegated to DVD watching, I think DaVinci Code is destined for the small screen though.

I’ve always been a fan of X-Men since the comics, the computer games and then finally in 2000 the movie hit the big screens.

I have to say though, I always felt X2 was far better than X-Men the original movie. It’s one of the few that exceeds the original, when the original WAS good! X2 still remains my favourite out of the 3 after watching the most recent one.

I strongly recommend watching X1 & X2 immediately before watching the third installament as it is somewhat lacking in character development, remind yourself why you care about the characters.

Shame some of the new characters weren’t developed a little better too.

It’s a great action movie, it could have been a little longer to expand on the characters a little.

A lot of people are complaining it wasn’t faithful to the comic books storyline, but well I agree it wasn’t but it’s still a good movie, even if the whole Phoenix/Jean part isn’t quite authentic.

The action/set pieces were great, especially the opening scene in Jean Grey’s house.

Pyro vs Iceman

Pyro vs Iceman!

It keeps you gripped pretty much all the way through, it could seem a little rushed, the pace being so brisk.

I did enjoy the movie, and thoroughly recommend it.

I’ve got a bunch more to watch…still haven’t reviewed Crash 😉

I give X-men III a solid 8/10, a well worth watching action flick with a few flaws.

The Passing of a Friend – Andrew Cheng Jing Liang

It’s a sad occasion when a friend passes away.

Cheng was a good guy, a diving buddy of mine and a fellow fan of the Satria GTi, a members of the Malaysian Satria GTi club.

Obituary

He was a passionate diver and a passionate driver, he was well liked by all and never had a bad word to say about anyone.

I enjoyed my time diving with him and always enjoyed his company.

Cheng took an unfortunate fall on a project site (he was a civil engineer), from the second story of an unfinished house into the empty swimming pool. He hit his head and was rushed to hospital where he survived the operation and was classified as stable. He lived on bravely for 12 days but the injuries were to severe and his brain wasn’t functioning properly, so his body couldn’t generate the required anti-bodies. This led to him sadly passing away on May 31st.

I have some pictures of us together diving, but they are on my home PC, I will post them later in his memory.

May you rest in peace my friend Cheng, we are thinking of you.

Get New Friends Like sai_baba With Fo.rtuito.us BETA!

Fo.rtuito.us is something like an online penpals kind of site.

The site is very simple, you sign up and are given a friend chosen randomly. Next, you have 4 days to get to know this person before you are asked to make a decision whether to keep them as your friend. Once you have made that choice, you are given another friend, chosen at random and the process starts all over.

What sets us apart is we don’t think a picture of a persons face, or a simple profile can tell the story of them. We do things a little backwards, you get to know a person and then decide if you want to be their friend.

I got sai_baba..

sai_baba

I’m actually scared.

I sent a message respecting his crazy mad hairstyle, I wonder if he’ll respond.

Movie Review – Constant Gardener – Heavy

The Constant Gardener

In a remote area of Northern Kenya, the region’s most dedicated activist, the brilliant and passionate Tessa Quayle, has been found brutally murdered. Tessa’s traveling companion, a local doctor, appears to have fled the scene, and the evidence points to a crime of passion. Sandy Woodrow, Sir Bernard Pellegrin, and the other members of the British High Commission assume that Tessa’s widower, their mild-mannered and unambitious colleague Justin Quayle, will leave the matter to their discretion. They could not be more wrong.

Another movie I’ve been hearing about for quite some time but I’ve only recently gotten around to watching it.

The director Fernando Meirelles is the guy who came out with the amazing movie City of God, one of my favourite movies aswell (it’s gone straight into #16 on IMDB top 250, it was even in when I watched it first).

The Constant Gardener is a serious film about serious issues, the content is heavy and the acting is breathtaking both Rachel Weisz and Ralph Fiennes put in Oscar worthy performances.

It’s a gripping story told again with the end at the beginning, flashback, great pace, solid character development and beautiful scenery.

It addresses a the hard hitting topic of unethical mass drug testing on populations of poor countries, it is a work of fiction…but it could be real.

It’s 100% a political thriller and pulls it off perfectly, the reality of Africa hits you smack in the stomach, it’s portrayed in a way that really makes you feel something.

It’s definately a though provoking and intelligent movie dealing with a complex subject.

The Constant Gardener

The acting throughout is really top notch.

It uses the City of God kind of documentary filming making it feel more realistic, it’s gritty and hard hitting and the feeling when you watch it will stay with you for some time.

Amazing film, after all the crappy blockbusters last year, you should watch this now if you haven’t and see what a film really can be.

I give it a hard hitting 9/10.

Cars & Football

Yesterday I went to the motorshow at PWTC, which was nice. Then some banquet dinner thing.

KL Motorshow

Yeah most guys weren’t really looking at the cars (That’s the new Lotus APX btw, nice looking car). I recognised quite a lot of the car girls, maybe from pictures, or blogs, forums, hypertune etc.

One recognised me though which was nice 😉

There’s nothing like a pretty girl mouthing “Are you ShaolinTiger?” dressed in leather whilst posing on a RalliArt Evo IX!

Jian & I

Oh yeah..there was some nice cars too.

Today I’m going to watch MyTeam vs Malaysia at Bukit Jalil, go MyTeam!

Check more here.

As I’ve just read MyTeam is some kind of football based reality show, seen as though I don’t really watch TV I completely missed it.

Will post more later, after it’s all over (probably tommorow).
