The night shots!
Following on the from the last series, I got the rest of the pics done and uploaded so here they are, again all shot with two prime lenses 🙂
It was the end of a hot and sweaty (and extremely hazy day), the lanterns weren’t as impressive as the Bukit Jalil Lantern Festival in Malaysia. Malaysia Boleh!
There’s plenty to see (and more importantly photograph) in Singapore Chinatown so I do highly recommend checking it out.
After wondering around we had some dinner in Chinatown, not in the touristy food street..but at a small restaurant I spotted tucked away without garish bright pictures of the food.
The lady was lovely and from Malaysia, we conversed in broken MalayCantoEnglish 🙂
She mostly spoke to me in Malay and I spoke back in English.
I got the triple steamed egg thing…my mom liked it..some people have problems eating black eggs!
No pics of the food as it was gone too quick and it was nothing special to look at, I ordered normal stuff.
After that a good wander round checking out the lanterns and lights.
There’s LOADS of cool stuff to buy too if you are intro trinkets, cloths, music, paintings etc.
This huge lantern is right above the Chinatown MRT exit in Pagoda Street.
Not so impressive lantern things.
Photographing the Photographer!
Full frame of Dragon.
Hustle Bustle
And to finish, Dragon Silouhettes.
All in all well worth visiting Chinatown, I shall go back.
I think I’m getting better at this photo lark 🙂 Which is your favourite?
Next up, Little India and Bugis Street!
Nice pics, I like the last one with the people darkened out in contrast to the brilliantly illuminated dragon.
If you want criticism as well, I think the flower bed pic is rather bland and cliched. Sorry. 😉
Orchard Road (?)at night makes for a nice image, esp with both clear focus and movement blur.
I’ve been waiting quite some time for this part 2 haha. Now looking forward for the Bugis post, one of the all time favorite places in Singapore hehe
i like pix no.2!
The pix of the flowers look like something straight out of bollywood..
Intensecure: Thanks I post edited a little to lose some detail in the people as I really wanted the silohette effect 🙂 The flower bed isn’t great, I just liked the way the colour filled the whole frame.
Tien Soon: Hope you enjoyed this one 😉 Will do Little India soon.
sourrain: Thanks 🙂
Pic no.2 is cool. Makes you want to look at it a little bit longer and wonder..
Kinda like the flowers pic, always like bright colours in pics, so the green & red is very nice. Bright col always give me a happy feeling. 🙂
My favourite is “Full Frame of Dragon.”
