ShaolinTiger – Kung-Fu Geekery
I just loved the title of this blog. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but the name definitely hooked me. The first entry I read made my mouth water. Things were looking up.
The blog is about the daily life of a “Brit in Malaysia”. His entries are self-proclaimed “inane ramblings” that I’m sure everyone will find interesting. The author, ShaolinTiger, is a 20-something geek living in Malaysia working in Computer Security. He says that he is a “professional penetrator. His entries are very entertaining, witty and smart. He talks not only about the controversies involving his current home but also about the random light-hearted topics we all enjoy. He sprinkles a lot of pictures here and there which makes his website quite an eye-candy, in my opinion, anyway.
The layout is the generic one. Colors here and there, links on the side, archives underneath… the usual. However, this site does have a kick-ass banner. It’s red and white and really cool.
Overall, I suggest to everyone to give it a visit. The entries are very interesting and, I have to say, quite gripping. Learn about the most recent news concerning our author’s world and his takes on them. It’s really not a wasted visit.

If you’re planning on going on a diet, the ShaolinTiger is the worst site you could possibly visit.
The author’s constant posting of incredibly tasty foods (both local and western) have ruined many attempts at “going light” during my lunch break.
It’s even worse if you’ve already had your lunch, cos this site will only make you look forward to tea time…
Other than that, it’s a nice, fun and thought-provoking site with a pretty mature and active audience. Unlike that XiaXue webshite…

He takes sadistic pleasure in prolonging the torture by boasting how good the food tastes. Those overseas can only salivate and wish they were back home. Other than his food posts, Shaolin Tiger is pretty good with his observations on everyday life and ongoings in the blogosphere, although occasionally he does tend to lose his marbles and rant and rave. I give it 4 out of 5.”
I hope it was rated out of five, otherwise it is a bad rating if it’s like out of one hundred … or even ten. 🙂
Jade said a lot of nice things. It’s good to see a review that looks fo rth epositive. A lot of reviewers think it’s their job to tear flesh off people – so I think it was a damn fine review. (Just my two cents anyway!) 🙂

Mr. Tiger needs to show us some pictures of more women on the site besides the food and the tech stuff. Kung Fu Geekery should also be accompanied by some Kung Fu Shaggery.
