The new forum to hang out now for RoC DoTA is https://dotaforum.com

Currently the most played version is DOTA Classic 3.76c for RoC.

Following this it’d be DOTA Classic 3.78b but the changes are too radical for some people. This the current version with the latest RoC patch (1.22.whatever).

The other 2 which are still popular are DOTA Rumble which is fun too, with just 1 lane down the middle and DOTA (Danites Hell 2 Beta 3) with all Random Skills.

I’ve narrowed down the list just to leave the latest versions.

To play the latest RoC versions you will need Warcraft III 1.17 (or 1.22 to play Battle.net) version which you can get HERE

    I uploaded from my Maps folder, those of which I play with..so they work for me, no other complaints either, perhaps a dodgy connection.

    Try downloading again to a different place on your hard drive.

    Got it figured out. Was a W3 flakiness after having just installed v1.18. This is the only place left the get the files, since the TWC compilation thread has out-of-date links. This page is officially a Godsend!

    Just wanted to thank you for making such a convienient page to DL these maps from. I am in a cyber cafe in Iraq serving my country and the computers get wiped clean daily so you can imagine the frusteration in trying to get a game in within the few hours I have to myself without these fine links.

    Dude, the allstars 5.xx sucks. But allstar 6.xx is cool, though. Still plenty of bugs. I started with dota Chaos [kinda weird, I know] but nobody around me play dota classic :/

    but rest assured, dota allstars 6 is fun.

    Wrong version of WC3.

    You need 1.17 or above, preferably 1.20 which is the latest patch for 3.7b and AT editions.

    Dude, can you help me? Where can I find the old DOTA Map that has a dragon guarding each base. The Sentinel’s has a fire breath and the Scourge’s has Ice. I’ve been searching for that map ever since.. I missed playing it. I just want to show my friends how fun it was to play an imbalanced DOTA. Hehehe.. Thanks a lot man!

    I can’t play dota.

    I purchase a warcraft cd on EB, install the warcraft frozen throne then download the original dota but when i start to play it, the command box where you can pick a character dosent show =/ cant play dota please help

    What do you think of the current version of DotA-Allstars (6.74) and the upcoming Dota 2 by Valve? Is it still “an imbalanced piece of childish crap”?

    herp: Haven’t played it tbh, I got a friend who keeps bugging me on Steam to try DOTA2 – I might well check it out. I’m kinda well stuck into Diablo III right now tho – I imagine it’s pretty good by now (5 years later) and should be balanced – especially as Blizzard hired the creator.

    Which version of RoC do I need, so that I can play 3.6d? I used to play it a lot, back in the day, and now I play DOTA 2, but I miss that game I played at RoC. I really wanna remember the heroes, specially because some of the new game heroes came from Eul’s old map, like Luna or Frost Maiden (which turned into Crystal Maiden…)

    Gui: 1.17 should do it fine or anything around that era. Actually you should be able to play it on the latest patched RoC you just wouldn’t be able to watch replays. I play DOTA2 now as well and yah there’s a lot of heroes from the original, but they are quite different (Earthshaker, Void, Crystal Maiden, Luna (most similar to the original), and a whole bunch of others.

    so i have wc3 tft now and i cant seem to figure out how to get the ai to choose a hero in dota. does it work in custom game? if anyone could help it would be great, im new to dota but ive played games like LoL and HoN. any help or tips would be helpful thanks.
